LOS ANJOS Hoodie
Los Anjos Hoodie
The Hoodie, as we know it today, first appeared in the United States in the 1930s, mostly used by workers to protect themselves from the freezing cold warehouses in upstate New York.
Still, it was only in the 70’s that it became popular, as a result of its connection to NY Hip Hop and movies like Rocky, creating an aura of marginality and danger that would grow during the following decades.
The Hoodie is now more popular (and in some ways more banal) than ever, but for Casa Tigre it remains a symbol of identity and individuality, while carrying with it a promise of mystery, danger and anonymity.
A black Hoodie also brings hope and protection. It's magic.
Ladies and Gentlemen, today we are proud to launch our Hoodie LOS ANJOS, the name of the Neighborhood we chose (and that welcomed us with so much love) for Casa Tigre, the community we sought to create family, bonds, partnerships and art .
If on some dark night you come across someone who also wears a LOS ANJOS, they’ll know they’re safe and that everything is fine. If you make eye contact, well, it'll be a bit like that old blues record: Takes One to Know One*
And there's nothing more to say about our hoodie, just one look is enough to understand what comes with it.
Stay Safe, Stay Gold
